Special materials for the handles.

Where does the horn we use to manufacture the Laguiole knives handles come from ?

In the old days the horn used to come from the bovine herds of the Aubrac plateau.
The quality of european bovine horn deteriorated due to the intensification of the output. Nowadays, we import this raw material from South America or from South Africa. In those countries the animals grow in the wilderness and produce an up-market raw material.
